Microphysiological systems or organ-on-chips appeared are promising in vitro alternatives to animal experiments. in order to circumvent the lacks of integrated sensors to clearly understand what happens during experiments due to long multi-step lithographic processes, a route which uses 3D printing, based on 3D extrusion printing of different inks to create devices that integrate a piezo-resistance, has been described.
