International seminar on nanomechanical systems
OMNT organises an exceptional event on NEMS (nanoelectromechanical systems), to be held for two days in Toulouse. This seminar will gather renown scientists, who have been invited according to remarkable work that they have recently produced. Through several sessions, thy will present their most recent results, as well as an overview and perspectives of their field. A special session will be dedicated to possible applications of NEMS.
Gala dinner and poster sessions are included in the registration.
Online registration is now available.

Third EONS Meeting
The 3rd meeting of the European Observatory on NanoSafety (EONS) was held in Paris on October 6, 2010. Organized by the OMNT, this series of meetings is an initiative launched within the ENPRA consortium. Aimed at reviewing recent trends and research progresses in the field of environmental, health and safety issues associated with nanomaterials, EONS meetings involve a panel of experts including ENPRA partners and French experts from the OMNT.
Pr. Wim de Jong from the Dutch Institute of Public Health and the Environment (RIVM, NL) offered a state-of–the-art on “In vivo kinetics and tissue distribution of solid nanoparticles”. Experts then presented and discussed a selection of recent articles from the literature including studies on nanoparticles detection and characterization, risk assessment and nanotoxicology.
Proceedings of the meeting will be published in the 3rd EONS report (to be released in December 2010). Excerpts from the first and second EONS reports are available (as pdf to download).

EOOE 5th meeting
The next meeting of the European Observatory on Organice Electronic (EOOE) will be held in Berlin on October 13, 2010. This meeting will gather experts from OMNT as well as from the European Networks of Excellence PolyNet and FlexNet and will discuss recent research progresses in Organic Electronic. For this fifth edition, Dr. Sandro Tedde from SIEMENS and Dr. Piero Cosseddu will respectively present reviews on organic electronic photodectors and on keynote on chemical and mechanical OTFT based sensors.
[Reduce]ElecMol10 : International conference on Molecular Electronics. 6-10 Dec. 2010, MINATEC, Grenoble
The Grenoble, Paris and Strasbourg’s communities of chemists/biologists, physicists, and devices specialists are organizing the fifth edition of the international conference "ElecMol" at the MINATEC House from Dec. 6 to Dec. 10, 2010: ElecMol10.
Following the recent progresses, receiving the most influential researchers, and gathering French and international key players of the molecular, organic and hybrid inorganic / organic (opto) electronic research areas are the main objectives of this international conference which also aims at triggering and catalyzing collaborations among academic researchers and devices-oriented specialists with different backgrounds.
Continuing the rise of this international event supported by the OMNT, ElecMol10 targets an audience of 300-350 participants over a period of 5 days during week 49 of 2010 in Grenoble.
[Reduce]New periodic report from the EONS
The second report from the European Observatory on NanoSafety (EONS) has been released. Focusing on environmental, health and safety impacts of nanomaterials, the document summarizes the scientific analysis developed by the French OMNT experts (Topic “Nanoparticles: HSE”) and by partners of the European Project ENPRA (Risk assessment of engineered nanoparticles) during the 2nd EONS meeting held in Ispra (Italy) on April 13, 2010.
The report is now available on Biblio-OMNT. To download an excerpt, please click here.
